A Timeless Story

In 2005, Terri Holley opened Embellish. She had been working as an independent stylist representing Carlisle and Per Se based in New York, but found it increasingly difficult to find the right shoes to pair with the beautiful apparel collection. She opened Embellish as a boutique retail store to offer fashion enthusiasts in and around Chattanooga easy access to shoes from top contemporary designers like Stuart Weitzman, Donald J Pliner, Cole Haan and Tory Burch, just to name a few.  It didn’t take long for her to begin adding handbags and other accessories to her product mix.

In 2009, Embellish moved to Warehouse Row, a larger space and the opportunity to expand product offerings. While she continued to represent the Carlisle Collection she also added MZ Wallace handbags, Pedro Garcia, La Canadienne and Louise et Cie along with scarves by Yarnz and Tilo. It was the perfect space and complemented the stylish shoes, handbags, and other exceptional accessories customers had come to expect. But there was still something missing.

In 2015, Terri acquired Chattanooga’s Willa Collection, a contemporary clothing boutique that met the tastes of fashion forward women. Big City fashion mainstays like Tibi, Vince, Raquel Allegra, Ulla Johnson, Eileen Fisher and Rag & Bone to the hottest runway trends were now available offering women the opportunity for the perfect ensemble.  But what if you could find it all under one roof?

In 2017, Embellish and Willa become one as Willa’s unique collection moves from the North Shore to Warehouse Row and rebrands under the Embellish name. Earlier this year, Terri sold her Carlisle agency after being the voice of this respected brand for 16 years. Now, she creates a new and exciting future for Embellish.

Embellish has always offered customers a timeless, fashion-forward edge to complement any style or wardrobe. That won’t change. And neither will our carefully curated collection, broad price points and amazing staff that make Embellish a very special shopping destination.
